Reviews for Phantom of Hogwarts

I love Neville being stronger. In JK's books I found myself cheering him on - I loved how he'd changed, and now you're giving me your version of Strong!Neville and I LOVE it.

Author's Response: I admit it, Neville is my second fave male HP character, after Snape. :D I love the journey of growth and development (witness the long journey Snape and Hermione are on with their relationship), and Neville really fit the bill for another one. I'm so glad you love him too. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)

I just LOVED Neville's line 'Forget McGonagall; where's Snape?' It just made me LOL, cheer and squeal! I'm still smiling. I started reading this story when you first started posting it; I then left the fandom for a while after what JKR did, so I never got to finish this wonderful piece that I loved so much! I've been re-reading trying to get back up to where I was so I can finally finish this wonderful work. I love the soundtrack of Phantom - I have it on Spotify often; one day I will go and see it in the West End... one day. Right it's 2.50am, and I want to get in one (or maybe three) more chapter(s) before I go to sleep!

Author's Response: *blush* Aww, you're so sweet! And you just totally made my night. :D I'm so glad you're still enjoying it as you re-read. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)

Have you posted this on fanfiction.net? You really should. It's bloody spectacular! I haven't cried so much in my life! I wasn't fortunate enough to be alive to see the original cast of the play, but just watching a few of the filmed scenes of Michael Crawford on youtube had me in awe. I have seen little of Rain's Phantom - only the conclusion of the final scene though I intend to rectify that. I've gone as far as purchasing the CD, and will endeavor to buy the book. I'm going to be presumptive and assume you've read it? I know of three differing versions but I'm unsure which is best. Recommendations?

Author's Response: First: Thank you! *beams* I'm glad you've enjoyed it. Second: I have never seen Crawford except for in documentaries and such. (But his voice in the Original Cast Recording just makes me melt--much like Alan Rickman's does!) Nor have I seen Ramin. I would so dearly love to be able to go to London and see it there, but alas, earwax! Third: If I could get a cut of all the CDs people have bought while reading this fic... LOL Andrew Lloyd Webber owes me! ;)~ J/K Fourth: I have not read Susan Kay's Phantom, although many people have recommended it. I did, however, read the original Leroux book (which was quite different from ALW's romanticized musical, obviously), so I could know what Snape had read in the fic! LOL Fifth: Thank you again for such a lovely review! :D

Oh these last four chapter really go well together and I think it makes so much more impact when read in one go! Such a rollecoasterr of thing happen! I love Ginny's shock in learning that Snape wants nothing to do with v-day! I love his realization that Hermione is, indeed, a girl, though different and mature and would love a little something on the day! I love his reaction to Hermione's present which seems simple enough to anyone but really has an emotional meaning to him - after all in the turmoil that was his childhood, it was something he could happily remember. I also love Hermione's shock at his lovely surprise and how they got to be together, just like other couple got to do. And then their worry and anger at Colin, so intense a read! Honestly the extendable ear was just too much! Even if Hermione has been in there simply sleeping it is an awful invasion of privacy! Though I idid feel bad at his terror, even if he caused it. Though it surprised me that we didnt hear his thought on the relationship he witnessed, I mean how can he not realize how much the two people in front of him cared for each other? It seeps from their pores! Too bad he had to be obliviated! He was so hateful after what Hermione had to do. And I agree, simply because "it had to be done"doesn't mean she's gonna be okay with it! Oh and then his awful comment at rehearsal - that was pure hurt ego, I think even he realized how foul that was! And Snape! Oh men can be so difficult! They always retreat so much when a woman says "cool it." It doesn't mean we are no longer interested! But they always seem to take it that way. Even when Hermione assures him she is deeply in love with him he treats her so distantly! Gah!

Author's Response: *blink blink* Wow! LOL I love getting such an impassioned review! I'm so glad you enjoyed the rollercoaster ride. Thanks again for reviewing! :)

Nice prescience about Harry's DH disillusionment about Dumbledore! And I laughed out loud when Snape gave House points to Neville.

Author's Response: Well, the hints were there in canon all along; I just picked up on them and used that in my story. Gotta love Neville, too! Thanks so much for reviewing! :)

As much as I feel Hermione and Severus's frustration at having to cool themselves down a bit, I think a bit of tempering was in order here and I glad you saw fit to write it that way. But I also do love that you managed to give them a moment of passion - in front of the entire rehearsal no less. That made me smile, though I hope Dumbledore hasn't started to see past the 'acting'. Additionally, I was feeling quite sorry for Colin before, but certainly no longer! What a horrible thing to say! -DV

Author's Response: Yeah, Colin is a royal prat. LOL As for our couple... well, a roller coaster wouldn't be as much fun without the ups and downs, right? ;P Thanks so much for reviewing! :)

*gasp* That was crazy of Colin! Oy, what a dolt! I am glad the other Gryffindors see how foul that was! And I am glad for Neville. He really is a brave one! And such a lovable character too!

Author's Response: Colin has... issues. *snerk* As for Neville, he's a dear, isn't he? Thanks for reviewing! :)

AAAAAH!!! Essentially, that was sooooo enjoyable. Thank you so much for writing this! Ok, next chapter...

Author's Response: LOL Sorry if I put you through the wringer. Glad you're enjoying it, and thanks so much for reviewing! :)
