| Oh, and forgot to mention how much I loved your use of McGonagall's character here, so much like canon: she's so steadfast and trustworthy, you can totally use her to react to something genuine, even if that sets her up for the fall when her sanity goes against whatever scheme Dumbledore has got in place. Of course, she is totally right that they are all being frightfully inappropriate and it's their job as teachers to create good boundaries for Hermione! <3 McGonagall. | Oh wow, I didn't see that coming! You made something really important out of McGonagall not being present for the previous rehearsal!!!!! That kind of thrilled me. I had thought you were just indulging your inner theater geek -- and I loved it, eating up all the methodical detail, which is so appropriate for a Snape and Hermione story where they like to visualize all the process too -- and bam, it becomes plot. Heh heh heh heh heh. And another series of "heh" grins for your prescience about the word "always." You must have gotten a shivery triumph laugh out of that one! Author's Response: *preens* Yay! I love that I was still able to surprise you (and in a good way). :D I swear, when there were people who questioned why this story was so long, I assured them that everything is in it for a reason, be it plot points and set-ups, or character development. So, I love that you enjoyed the fruition of some of that set-up! And yes, the "always" did add to some of the many chills of vindication. LOL Thanks for such a lovely review! :) | |||
