Oooh! I like the subtle sexual tension in your choice of the word "engendered"!

Author's Response: *curtseys* Why, thanky! ;) If you like sexual tension, then you may well get a surfeit of it before too long... *whistles innocently* Thanks so much for reviewing! :)

Oh, you've got me! I can't wait to see how you handle this polarized situation :D

Author's Response: *wicked grin* Oh, there will be angst and humour and lots of UST... ;P Glad you're enjoying it, and welcome to the story! Thanks so much for reviewing! :)

I love it so far! It is wonderful. Truly wonderful. I like the personalities they really do fit the characters so well! There really is another story cross poto and hp? Do you happen to have a link somewhere? I've never read any stories on AFF.net and don''t know if i'd be able to find it amongst the large archives.

Author's Response: I have never searched for another HP/PotO fic, but I've been told by readers that they exist. I didn't want to read them and possibly get my mind tainted with someone else's ideas. Of course, this chapter was from over 4 years ago, so it may still be out there, or maybe not. Thanks for reviewing! :)

Ooh....I'm really enjoying re-reading this! I love the way you've written them begrudgingly trying to get along, and Snape's recognition that she may be more than just a silly little girl. Onto the next chapter!

Author's Response: Hehehehe... Yeah, I hope the transformation is smooth and believable. Thanks for reviewing! :)

Oh boy, was that the first flush of sexual attraction HG experiences for SS? Poor girl isn't going to know what will hit her lol. Cheers for posting.

Author's Response: LMAO!! Indeed. Their connection will hit her like a semi truck. *snerk* Thanks! :)

I like to think that Hermione is older, that she has an early birthday. I think she would be turning 18 naturally at the beginning of her 7th year. And I really never count the time turner factor. It was only for two hours a day, five days a week for nearly ten months. That's a total of 17 days added to her age, not really enough to worry over, in my opinion. lol, anyway, I have way to much time on my hands...

Author's Response: See, the thing is, JKR hadn't said Hermione was 11 and turned 12 as soon as she started first year until AFTER I began this fic. (Besides, I don't buy it myself, but I won't bore you with my reasoning.) As for her use of the time-turner... I don't believe for a second that she only used it for a couple of hours a day five days a week. It's HERMIONE, for crying out loud. I can see her redoing hours over and over and over again to get MORE studying and reading done, and that's why it was taking such a toll on her. But, again, my reasoning... I know that 17 is of age in the Wizarding world, but I was also concerned about perceptions here in the US, and I didn't want her to be even that much younger than Snape, so I employed the time-turner to my advantage. LOL Gee, looks like you're not the only one with way too much time on her hands... *snerk* ;)

Yes. It does seem as if JKR ran into a plot need for Hermione to be a year or two older, and cooked up a likely story to deal with it: "Erm, yeah, it was like this... If you're even a day short of eleven at the start of the school year, you have to wait until the next one... And then she used a time-turner, so she gained a year... Yeah, that was it."

When I started school the cut-off date was January 1. If the child would be the right age by then, he or she could start school in September. Otherwise, it was the next year. Dunno if most schools deal with the issue that way, but it seems to make the most sense. But oh, well. I'm loving the Phantom of Hogwarts - both the story, and the man who plays the title character! (Miserable, grouchy, insufferable, adorable, sexy... totally irritating man!)

;D

Author's Response: See, that's why I don't buy that Hermione was already 11 and turned 12 her first year only 19 days into the term. I figure there'd be some sort of cut-off date like that, and she seems so trying-too-hard-because-she-has-to-measure-up-to-the-rest-of-the-older-kids, you know? Besides, at the end of PoA, when Harry and Hermione are telling AD about Sirius, and he says the Ministry won't believe two 13-year-old wiards, I figure the old man might know what he was talking about. *grimace* Anyway, enough about my opinions... LOL Thanks for reviewing! :)
