Hello! I normally wait & review on the last chapter when I read a completed fic, but I just HAD to say how much I am enjoying this, the detail, the humour, the UST...all of it is brilliant. Thanks for having the idea, the skill to write it and the time & incliniation to finish it. I'm sure I will review again :)

Author's Response: *beams* Aww, thanks! It makes me all giddy that you enjoyed it enough so far that you wanted to review. :D As for possibly reviewing again, there's plenty more for you to still get through, so... *snort* Thanks so much for such a lovely review! :)

Wow, so much to like in this chapter! I like the way you worked with the names, having Hermione call Harry "Harry James Potter" after Snape complained about Potters. I smiled at the canon premonition when Hermione thought about Harry sitting outside her door like Snape outside the Gryffindor portrait hole. I giggled when Snape's enraged cold shower turned suddenly into a wet t-shirt scenario. *grin* But the thing that inspired me most was the line about Snape's gut twisting with jealousy. The gut...the intestines...snake-shaped...then I realized with a shock that Harry's "chest monster" (ooh, another moment of premonition) and the venomous monstrous thing that is Nagini are...the same thing, only healthy in the young and twisted and overgrown and deadly in the stunted adult. WOW. WOW. WOW. And that is what Slytherin is: the house that is most in tune with that necessary life-force essence of desire, lust, appetite, and the house that, under Snape's guidance, can teach the kids -- all the kids, including (by canon book 7) Harry, how to stop denying that and integrate it into their personalities (like Neville owning his fierceness and beheading the overgrown monstrous personification of it, or Draco following Snape's "Expelliarmus" teachings rather than his parents' prejudicial ways). I am thrilled by what you are showing of how healthy desire turns deadly when thwarted.

Author's Response: *falls over. iz ded* WOW! What an exceptional review! *blush* You are totally bringing back all the excitement and joy I felt when writing this oh so may years ago. Thank you. THANK YOU. It means so much to me. :)

just a quick note to say how much I have enjoyed everything up to this point and I hope tomorrow is just as slow at work so I can keep reading! If I wouldn't get fired for tuening off the phone ringer, I really get into the story undisturbed!

Author's Response: LOL!! Don't get in trouble--this fic isn't going anywhere; it'll still be here for you to read whenever you like. ;) Glad you're enjoying it, and thanks so much for reviewing! :)

Wow! Severus was...wow! I hope we get to hear is thoughts in the next chapter! He can be so...sweet? no, that isnt the right word...i think you know what i mean. I can hear him speak in my mind when you write him saying things especially when he said "You deserve so much better, Hermione" Ah yes MC and AR both have fantastic voices. It would be so fantastic if AR ever really played the phantom. He would be wonderful, is voice is perfect!

Author's Response: The word that comes to mind in this case is: unguarded. Which is not something one gets with canon Snape. Glad you liked it, and thanks again for reviewing! :)

Love this story so far. I love how you have the real life in the castle mirror the opera, the tenion, jealousy and self loathing, confusion - all of it. You really have the characters down to a T! Good job.

Author's Response: *beams* Why thank you, darlin! *blushes* I'm so glad you've enjoyed it. Thanks as always for reviewing! :)

Even with the powerful combined elements of sexual desire and rage forming the emotional base of this chapter, you still managed to overthrow the reader's feelings by providing a line of spoken dialogue from SS to HG that cut through the heady sexuality and heavy anger - “You deserve so much better, Hermione.” – a reminder of SS’s self loathing so swiftly delivered that if doused other feelings as swiftly as the cold had cooled HP’s and HG’s ardor. Congrats, cheers for posting.

Author's Response: *blinks* Wow, what a lovely review! I love that it affected you so much. Thanks as always for reviewing! :)
