| Oh! I didn't realize about the wedding thing, but that is good - makes Severus' actions that much more touching!!!
And this chapter was SO good - especially Snape's inner dialogue with himself and his realization that he's not just attracted to or merely cares about but actually loves Hermione!! I don't recall entirely but I think it takes quite a bit longer for Hermione to come to that realization herself...but I could be wrong.
It does go to show that although she is an adult, after Severus' life experiences he would know what he wants and feels much sooner!
Oh and there's the scene in which Hermione states what she wants and he turns the tables on her and she realizes she isn't actually ready for that yet...still she knows she wants to be in his arms....so sweet...so nice for Severus to finally get to sleep with someone he loves instead of alone (physically and with the miserable thought that he' d always live like that!) I wanted to make the distinction that yes, while they are quite swept up in the physical attraction, there's more to it, and they're willing to slow down and explore that to make it more real. | I always adore this chapter, every time I come to re-reading it. You capture the situation so aptly and realistically, from both Hermione and Severus's point of view. Her impetuousness is very understandable, as is his hesitation to take advantage of it. A lot of admiration for Sev here, for his restraint, and his kindness. | I really like how you show the relationship. It's not all sugary sweetness all the time, but there are arguments and there is making up and of course Severus' concern of their age difference and position in school...there is a good balance!
And I bet he does look extremely sexy in green silk!!!!! ^_~ Author's Response: I am so excited: fanfic artist Pennswoods is doing a commission for me of the part where Snape blasts Hermione with the Expelliarmus and is standing on the bed. | Oh how he turned the tables on her. I actually felt my breath hitch. I don't think I could have stopped him - but as a first-time it'd be a lot for her.
I loved how you ddi the play and their reactions to the play. The memroy from Intermission had best be removed and in a vial so Dumbledore doesn't get a clue! Or have Him make subitable alterations! | I do love this chapter, it feels so true, and I'm glad that Snape takes a risky way to remind her she shouldn't push things - it does reflect Harry's earlier behaviour in a way. It's one of the first times I've not been disappointed when the sex scene stops abruptly, heh. Onwards to the next chapter!
