After a very long layoff and no update since 28 November, here is a monster three in one chapter.
http://ashwinder.sycophanthex.com./viewstory.php?sid=8691&i=1
Called Fracture - it is in three parts, all of which are posted only on Ashwinder.
Following his disastrous attempt to explain matters to Hermione, Severus has disappeared. Blanche determines to track him down using an ancient form of magic.
Meanwhile, Hermione begins to analyse his actions, and realises she has misjudged him and decides to visit him at the farm.
What follows is 16000 words of madness, mayhem, nudity, and a series of unfortunate events, culminating in capslocks of rage, and an explosive finale to this "jealous Hermione" story arc. |

Chapter 57 is now up.
Enduring the Passage of Time - Part One
Essentially this whole chapter is going to be another bloody monster, so I shall post in two parts. However, this part one, will stand alone (does that make sense? Does to me...)
Three years have passed since the shattering events of the previous chapter drove what appears to be a permanent rift between Severus and Hermione.
Severus attempts to come to terms with what has happened. In the meantime, a forgotten prisoner seeks vengeance...
This chapter introduces the final storyline and the eventual resolution of the whole thing.
And it can be read at http://ashwinder.sycophanthex.com./viewstory.php?sid=8915&i=1.
I'll post the second part of this chapter next week, all being well, it will deal extensively with Hermione's position in all this, and her feelings, and might just stop readers hating her quite as much.
I hope folks like this one. It was fun to write. |

I've updated "But You Alone" and those who are reading, can find it as follows:
It's the later two parts of a long chapter, "Enduring the Passage of Time" of which I've already posted the first part. These two parts conclude the action of this chapter.
Enduring the Passage of Time - Part 2.
In which we catch up with Hermione over the intervening three years since her break from Severus and see the pain of living with a divided heart...
Here
and
Enduring the Passage of Time - Part 3.
Tired from a series of threatening dreams she cannot understand, Hermione falls asleep in the garden of her house, to a haunting dream wherein she begins to understand the real truth of many past events. She wakes to an unexpected and inexplicable visionary sending from someone she has missed very much, and then finds herself plunged into a waking nightmare as an unexpected and highly unwelcome intruder makes himself known.

The penultimate chapter, called, "Nemesis" is up at Ashwinder.
Following his placing of Hermione under Imperius, Snape's uber nemesis, Godwin McHolt is determined to deliver his own very special brand of retribution to Severus.
A duel to the death atop the Roman Wall of the Emperor Hadrian in the North of England, leads to the mother and father of all cliffhangers.
There is one chapter and a double epilogue to go after this.
Read it :
