| I am writing a slightly (perhaps very) satirical time travel fic... need a beta particularly to check for canon and grammar mistakes.... I only got to check HBP and its predecessors out of the library, so I really need a fact checker. The fic is AU so it will not be strictly canon.... any takers? |

While I don't have the time for additional projects right now, I thought I'd let you know that the Harry Potter Lexicon http://www.hp-lexicon.org/index-2.html is a really great fact check site as they have catalogued much of what's in the books and it's organized is a pretty user friendly manner.
Also, one of the stickied topics at the top of the forum has a listing of things a beta seeker should put in his/her request that will make it easier for beta readers to decide if a particular work lands in his/her realm of interest.  |

length: not sure yet, but about 1000 words per chapter...don't anticipate this beig more than 10 chapters

turnaround time: I generally like to post once or twice a week.
weakness/I am looking for: grammatical/canon checking. I have a pretty good grasp of my plot and sense of humor (I have a very dry sense of sarcasm... so the parody is very subtle...), so I am really looking for someone to make sure that this can be submitted for SH...I have a weakness with commas....lol. However I like my elipses, so no touching!
I try to check canon, but things do slip. Note: this is not meant to conform precicely to HBP, since some of my meanderings ARE intentionally AU
Open to: honest criticism, as long as its friendly.
Not open to: someone who wants to completely rewrite my fic. I am the alpha, after all. |
