Story title: Dumbledore's Secret
Summary: Voldemort never fully trusted Severus Snape when he returned to the Death Eaters. So, when he discovers a secret that is certain to cripple Albus Dumbledore, the Dark Lord gives Snape the ultimate test of loyalty. Snape’s decision has important consequences for himself and the Order of the Phoenix. Takes place at the end of OotP and continues into Harry's sixth year. Although Snape plays a central role in this fic, other canon characters, particularly the Trio, Remus, Tonks, and the Weasley clan, play major roles, as well.
Rating: most chapters are PG-13 or R
Category/Genres: Drama, action/adventure, romance
Ship: SS/OC, RL/NT, AD/MM, RW/HG. SS/OC is the main ship, although Remus and Tonks do have a good deal of "screen" time as well. The other ships are more often in the background.
Warnings: None that I'm aware of.
Any special requests that the beta reader will need in beta reading for you:
- The fic is long, and it's getting even longer. So, you'd need the time and patience to read it! 
- Ideally, I'd like someone who would read for a couple of different things: 1. typos, errors, etc.; 2. canon mistakes; 3. consistency - because it's a long story with many different characters, I sometimes feel as I'm not being consistent from chapter to chapter.
- If you happen to British, that would be great, as I'm sure I have many American-isms in the fic. However, this isn't absolutely necessary.
- Also, I'd like a beta who is willing to be honest, but also someone who won't mind if I don't always take her suggestions. I do promise to consider all her wonderful suggestions, however!
- I already have the main plot worked out, and the first 1/3 or so is written, but I'd love it if a beta could give her opinion on how the details of the story should unfold.
Okay, I know this is a big request, and I'll be honest and say that I've already lost one beta (not because I'm mean, I promise! I just don't think she was very interested in the story, and I never heard from her after we exchanged a few emails). So, if by some miracle, you're still here, and you're still reading, send me a private message or an email. Also, if you've written or beta read anything in the past, let me know that, too.
