My story is entitled Lost Souls Found and is currently posted through chapter fifteen on Occlumency, author name Shanti.
Name: Shanti
Email: seuferer@netins.net
Story title: Lost Souls Found posted on Occlumency currently through chapter 15.
Summary: Novel length romance/drama fic set after OotP, AU to HBP, focusing on Snape and his role as a DE as he spys for the Order.
Rating: L (I think--can't remember the SH ratings just now off the top of my head--whatever is the equivalent of NC-17. Heterosexual 'lemons' in later chapters)
Category/Genres: Romance, drama, angst, slightly dark-fic due to war issues.
Ship: Snape/OFC, mention of Lupin/Tonks
I am currently using a team of betas in a sort of 'round robin' fashion. My first beta has read the entire story from start to finish and is helping me to polish character development, dialog, remove unnecessary strands of plot which I ended up not following through, etc.
My second beta is the one I need a 'temporary' fill-in for. She helps me with punctuation, catching places where I miss the Brit spelling, capitalization consistencies, etc--basically the mechanics of the story. I have a severe problem with abuse of the comma--even after reading 'Eats, Shoots, and Leaves' twice.
My third beta, then, is a person who happens to be an admin for one of the Sycophant Hex archives. Since I'm fortunate enough to have someone so busy be willing to go over my story, I like to have it as 'polished' as possible before going to her, and then she catches the final loose-ends.
This 'position' will be 'open' for September 28 through October 4th (just to be safe) as this second beta will be gone during that time. I would not expect to get through more than three chapters in that time, perhaps less. Because my primary need for this person is mechanics, I do not believe it is necessary for the individual in question to have read the entire story up to that point.
If you are interested/able/willing to help me out, I would be extremely grateful. I use MS Word files, and I do not know how to open 'zip' files, so it would help if you were able to use the MS Word format. My techy skills leave a great deal to be desired.
Thank you
