I just saw that you posted again and found that I had missed a chapter. No arguments on Moody's behavior. You have kept him very much in character.
Author's Response: I'm glad you're enjoying it. I judge Moody partly by his double's behaviour in GoF, because it was close enough to his own that no one notived anything suspicious - at a time when they had reason to be concerned that a voldemort-supporter was accessing the school. |

christ... poor sev... boy's too young for all of it. at least albus trusts sev. i would like to throttle moody though for beating the poor boy. keep writing!
Author's Response: We're told in canon that moody was one of the good Aurors, who didn't kill Death Eaters but brought them back for trial. Judging by the fact that the cruel and degrading treatment meted out by his impersonator in GoF raised no suspicion of his identity, I strongly suspect that it wasn't compassion that prevented Moody from killing and torturing in the field. More likely he was inspired by operational considerations, eg the quality of information that could be tortured out of them at leisure in a holding cell. |
