I am always amazed how good this fic is when I reread it or one of its parts. Pity that you probably don't go on with it - I wanted to see Severus joining the DEs and becoming spy in your version. (-:

Hi, I started reading this story two weeks back when it appeared in the Random fic section... I got totally hooked from the first Chapter. I love the way you explore the differences between the muggle and wizard world - like Evan enjoying himself booking airplane tickets for Tobias and hoping to see a refrigerator... I also really like the in-depth look and the workings of Slytherin house (which is so lacking in JKR's books). I notice you haven't updated in a long time - hopefully you'll get a creative surge soon : I'd love to see how prison is going to affect Snape and if Rosier (whom I'm in love with at this point) can get away from the Dark Lord before it's too late.

I just got a pyshic message from your story. IT asked me to tell you "Please, oh please update me oh wonderful author!"

Author's Response: I know I've been remiss. However, I am continuing to work on the story. I've pretty much got the Voldwar I timeline done, and drafts of a couple of chapters. Thanks for the nudge.

I'm still enjoying this fic. Everyone is so realistic and believable. They're not artificially good or one-dimensionally bad, but succeed in being very likeable and supportable. So Severus could have attacked Florence. I've been thinking about how his condition makes him something of a liability and it's good you're showing that here. I wonder if there'll be some fall-out, though. I'm sure Florence would be concerned for her safety and Severus would certainly be concerned about what he could have done. I like that the Unforgivables are considered that because they do harm the caster, unlike what the books want us to believe, that it seems to selectively hurt people if they're evil to begin with or Slytherin. Poor Severus in Azkaban for a crime he never committed. And then being branded a suspected Death Eater. Sheesh. Poor Evan, having to get Severus into trouble and not being able to help him because of his Mark. As someone already said, the emotion in the first scene with Florence unknowingly putting people into danger was very realistic and I felt Severus' rage while I was reading. The hiss turning into a roar is just how I imagine him when he's well and truly angry. I'm just glad he was too focused on yelling at her to curse her, at least until he realized she feared him. It's neat how you showed a lot in such short paragraphs, and how Florence called him back to himself with just his name, and perhaps her voice? Interesting that you highlight how Severus acknowledged Pettigrew but Lily and Evan did not. I'll check back periodically for more chapters. :)

Glad to hear you will still continue the story. Although I liked Deathly Hallows, I prefer Snape the way your story portrays him.

Author's Response: Thank you. I was wondering how my Snape compared with JKR's in DH. I'm continuing to work on the story.

back again. I like your take on how horcruxes can be used. Interesting distinction between magical purebred and clan lines.

Author's Response: Thank you. Glad you liked my idea about horcruxes. Also, while I can believe Slytherins taking advantage of pureblood supremacy when they can, it seemed to me that Hufflepuffs would be more naturally prone to blood prejudice, since I think they have a strong sense of "my family" or "my clan" or "my people."

YAY, a new chapter! Interesting twist to send Severus to Azkaban. I can't wait to see how you write Evan and Severus following their plan while still letting Evan honor the bond of the Dark Mark enough to avoid the wrath of Voldemort.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. It is interesting that Severus ended up in Azkaban, isn't it? Suprised me a bit, too. I'm hoping to have more up within a week. Thanks for sticking with this story!

Hopefully Severus has kept in contact with Albus to some degree.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Oh, I'm sure he has.

Well, well. Two score Death Eaters in an enclosed space. Portkey in a 100kg bomb, and you're done.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Yup, you'd have the DE's. I think Voldie's already got a few Horcruxes by now, though, so you'd still have to deal with Vapormort.

Ahh, logic and amateur psychology.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Hmmm -- what were you referring to with the amateur psychology? I think I'm missing your reference.
