Outstanding! I really enjoy the inner workings of Snape's mind, the manipulations and the plotting and planning.
Author's Response: I wrote this back in August after DH had been published, but thought no one would be interested in Severus Snape's private, er, manipulations and plottings and plannings. Thank you! If you ARE interested, you'll get more. |

Wow, now that's fine and detailed manipulation. Amazing.
Author's Response: Well, would you expect otherwise of two Slytherins (even if one of them is deceased)? Glad you enjoyed it... some of what's coming up is less enjoyable, at least from Severus' point of view. |

This very good; I really like it. Do keep going. Scaranda.
Author's Response: I hear and obey (bows)! Give me more detailed criticism and I'll give more detailed response (hint, not just you, Scaranda!). |

Keep the chapters coming! I start going through withdrawal when there are long lulls between updates to favorite stories!
Wish I could beta for you, but haven't yet posted a fanfic. Currently am developing four, so some day...
Author's Response: All right, you win. I'll post before my beta has reviewed, so I'll just have to repost when she's cut me into (much better, much more readable) shreds. So here's V1! Enjoy the less-edited version. |

An interesting beginning, and you tackled the plot hole of how Snape got in the office before his appointment as headmaster.
Author's Response: Personally I love plot holes; they give hooks to hang stories on. I suspect, from reading yours, you feel the same. Thanks for reviewing; let me know if you enjoy the rest. |

Really enjoy this story. Your "Snape logic" is cunning and thorough, and your truth/knowledge recipe may qualify you as a potions mistress. ;-) Would give this a higher rating except for the choppy grammar, which makes it hard to follow sometimes.
Author's Response: Thanks for giving concrit as well as praise! My beta disappeared this chapter and I haven't had the courage to replace her--apparently I need to. I was trying to restrict the "choppiness" to internal dialogue where it might be appropriate--but that is so hard to judge for oneself. I will try to get good betaing before I post more. Glad you appreciated the potion. You do understand, Severus considers himself a cynic: he thinks that will protect him from the potion he has brewed.... |

Interesting. Do keep going!!
Author's Response: This is actually the first fanfic I wrote; fiction is not, perhaps, the best term, as most of it is a purely internal conflict. Hope you enjoy the rest of it as well! Yours is, er, extremely different, nothing I could think of writing (besides being AU when I try to stay CC) but I always read you even when I can't review intelligently... |

Very nicely written! Snape is as brilliant as ever. Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks! Snape is fun to write--and so can Dumbledore be. Coming up in chapter 3--Phineas Nigellus! |

Very nice. Poor Snape reaps the harvest of Dumbledore's weakness, so no change there. Thanks for sharing.
Author's Response: Thanks for your review.... You take your stories in a way different direction than I would, Scaranda, but I enjoy them. Actually, I think I write Dumbledore more as Snape wants to see him than as I do.... To be frank, I think Severus is more forgiving of Albus's weaknesses than I am. Thanks for your review, and please keep posting on your own. |
