But my heart hurt for her with all her doubts about why her dad had not contacted her or if he would even like her. Sometimes, we try to protect children but they are aware and understand so much more than we give them credit for. Author's Response: And Demeter is a Snape. She might just have inherited her father's "insecurity" when it comes to feelings. But, the two will meet soon, and they'll both make the best of it. She's knows he is a great man, but a stern and intimidating one, too. And the doubts she had, about his lack of contact with her, made my heart ache. I am looking forward to their inevitable meeting.
