Demeter knows her father well. It wouldn't be that he was upset at Melvin's gift per se, but the idea that Severus' gift would be seen as not as important or special as Marvin's could definitely make him feel slighted and of course, he'd be angry. Poor Morgaine. I wonder how this conflict is going to get rectified?

Author's Response: Good thing your review turned up twice, because I forgot to say: Thank you for reading and reviewing. I am very glad that you like my story. I must it it has turned out differently than I had meant to.

Author's Response: Severus is in a situation he has never been before. He does not understand (yet) that Demeter can love him (as her father) and Melvin (as her boyfriend) at the same time. He'll learn. Hopefully. :)

Charming little chapter with a bittersweet ending. I love the way you are weaving the relationship between Demeter and Severus. I have also appreciated the exchange between him and Morgaine, because they both sounded very "human", if I can use this word. But I have especially liked the talk between father and daughter. It's nice to see how they long for mutual company. Also, I found very sweet that Severus desires to offer something special to his child. Pity Melvin had the same idea. I suppose that Morgaine will have to found a special reason to make Demeter's choice less bitter for her father. Sorry for this confused review. I hope you get my thoughts and feelings.

Author's Response: Confused? Join the club. I must admit that Severus and Morgaine's relationship is not going as I had originally planned. Recent events in RL have shed new light on the topic of "letting go". We'll see where the story goes. Glad you're still with me.
