This is an enchanting story - I've been following right along and have been terribly remiss in not reviewing. Something tells me that you've started a thread of an idea here with this blending of the stones.... an idea is wisping at the corners of my brain that we have a hint here for something far deeper to merge.... hmnn...
Author's Response: This story has developed a mind of its own. I am as curious as you about where it is going. Thank you for reading and leaving a note. I appreciate it a lot! /M |

This whole situation is killing Morgaine little by little and I hate to see it because I like her. I don't want her to have to make that awful choice. I was glad to see that her and DD are making a bit of progress. That's a bright spot. As for Demeter, I love how she accidentally offends Melvin with some of her comments and then has to hastily try to fix it. Just like her dear old Dad! I ache for her though. She has so much on her shoulders and she's only 12.
Author's Response: Trust me, I like Morgaine, too. She's my very first OFC, my baby, if you will. I'd love to just bring Severus back to life for her, but that wouldn't be plausible, would it? But the whole situation is intolerable, and in the end, Morgaine will have to make that awful choice. Hopefully, someone will help her make it. As for Demeter, she is fun too write. Daddy's girl, indeed. /M |

Charming chapter. As you know, I sympathize very much with Morgaine. Her task is difficult, and surely nothing stresses as much as having your daughter call you "Professor". It's inhuman, in a way, and however, the other kids know that there is a relationship, so they can always accuse Demeter of being favored. Sorry, I'm writing down my thoughts very confusingly, but I think you will understand anyway. I like Morgaine. You have made her vulnerable but also determined. And I like Severus; I felt very moved at his attempts of being a father for Demeter. The last part, when he asks her to play with him, was really touching. Finally, I hope that Morgaine can overcome his contempt for Dumbledore. It's true, the old man has been a ruthless puppeteer, but I think he is also capable of loving... especially now, that he is completely detached from hearthly matters. Waiting to see what happens next :)
Author's Response: You might be writing confusingly, but I still get it. That either means I am very smart or just as confused as you, hehe. I like Morgaine, too, you know that. And I would love to make things easy and make Severus come back to life for her sake. But you and I both know that this will not happen. It's too far fetched. Or is it ... ;) |

Demeter is a very astute little girl. Severus should be very proud of her. Mixing both sets assures neither one will feel slighted and both I'm sure will be honored to have been thought of equally.
Author's Response: Demeter is her parents' daughter alright. :) Thanks for reading and leaving a note. I appreciate both very much! |
