Reviews for Always By Your Side

This chapter may have taken you some time to write, but it was worth it. It was crafted with such skill, the tenderness between the two was palpible. And yet one cannot help but feel desolately sad by the fact that both are trapped by their love of one another. Your writing goes from strength to strength and you should not worry if it takes time to form a chapter, because when they turn out as beautifully as this, it is always worth the wait.

Author's Response: Thank you, sis. The chapter was a pain to write, indeed, and I am very surprised at how well it turned out. Thanks for all your support.

There is something so tangible in her heartbreak...like, you understand with all the love and warmth and breadth of her feelings WHY she can't let go. WHY he doesn't WANT to let go. It's real and it's not. It's a memory and it's new. It's so frustrating - almost as though he's RIGHT THERE and she can't have him. It's a headache....Sometimes, when you really love someone, you love making love to them for the simple fact that even if you take precautions, you still might get pregnant, and it's okay BECAUSE you love that person so much. I can't help wondering if that is what Morgaine is suffering with...Because no matter how she connects with Severus, there can't be anymore to it ever. Nothing tangible. Nothing to show that he was even there.

Author's Response: Wow, your review rendered me speechless for a while. Every word you wrote is just so right!

One of the best chapters you have written. Their love and desperation is so palpable! I have read the whole piece feeling my heart twist in pain for them. I would have liked to offer them a solution. I would have liked to comfort them. You have rendered their situation in such a heartbreaking way! I should be angry with you, for being so cruel with them, but then I understand that you have been somehow dragged in this, almost against your will. I'm sorry I can't epress better my thoughts. I should be working, but I have decided to leave you at least a fragment of my feelings. I love this chapter, despite the sadness it brings to me. I think you have reached a new peak in your writing. And, what is awesome for me, you did it with a quietness and a composure that makes the whole thing even more touching. Sorry for my awkward words. All my admiration.

Author's Response: Trust me, memory, I am - for once - not enjoying torturing my characters. And if you can suggest a solution, I'll consider it. For the time being, however, I cannot see any bright future for Severus and Morgaine.
