She treated him badly, according to this account, and never really loved him. Yet he still seems to think she was the best thing in his life. I'm definitely thinking YKW was involved in this sick obsession. Author's Response: Yeah, it's hard to picture why he'd be so stuck on her, but I do think she represented everything he wanted in his life and never got, that the idea of her was as important as the reality.
